Budget Update 3/24/20

Yesterday the House of Representatives passed a “skinny” budget which mirrored the bill passed in the Senate last week. This budget covers the State’s legally mandated commitments at current levels plus an additional $50 million for COVID-19 emergency assistance. The House subsequently adjourned until April 13 at which point they are committed to reconvene and take up additional funding requests. ACGA will continue to pursue action around our Livestock Loss Board and NRUL&PC funding requests in the coming days.
