Convention Fees Have Been Lowered
We are excited to announce a decrease to the Summer Convention registration fee. As reported, the 116th Annual Summer Convention registration is open!! The Convention will go on as planned and will be held July 16th – July 18th at We-Ko-Pa Resort and Convention Center. The tradeshow and festivities will open at 11:00 am on the 16th and end on the 18th at 3:30pm.
Thanks to the generous support of numerous sponsors and the hard work of ACGA committees and leadership, the first 200 attendees and the next 200 attendees will be charged $50 (members) and receive all meals!! Attendees numbered 400+ will be charged $335 (members) and receive all meals. The last day to reserve meals is June 23rd. As of right now 298 members and friends are registered for the Summer Convention. At this time last year 110 attendees were registered. Looking at these numbers we are expecting a great attendance and look forward to seeing your family's registration. As numbers increase and as we continue to plan, we are closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are working with the hotel to ensure CDC guidelines and the Governor's guidelines are followed during the event.
Additionally, we are looking for auction items and sponsors to help make the event a success. If any items or businesses come to mind please reach out. You can find the sponsor benefit list by clicking www.azcattlegrowers.org/summer-convention
During the three-day event, families will enjoy a vast western trade show, auction night, awards, drawings, and a dinner and dance. Children will enjoy the Arizona Junior Livestock Association, along with many fun and educational activities. Attendees will learn more about topics such as private property rights, grants, Arizona branded beef, Arizona water, public lands, voluntary traceability, holistic management, and will have the opportunity to participate in committee meetings, hear department updates, enjoy Cattlemen’s College, and participate in policy discussions that will become the directives for the association.
Summer Convention's theme is “Gather the Herd; Forge Ahead”. The meetings will highlight the benefits ranching sees from other segments of agriculture, agencies, and organizations. Just as last year, the Convention will be robust, valuable, and entertaining! It will be a Convention for the entire family to enjoy! It will be an event second to none. An event you will want to be at!
As we arise out of this uncertain time, keep calm, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick. Know that Arizona Cattle Growers’ is going above and beyond every day to ensure you are receiving value and benefit for your membership. We will continue to implement additional benefits that will give you, your family, and your operation added value.
During this time, we are working closely with national organizations, state organizations, and government representatives to combat the cattle market crash and get to the bottom of the fall in prices.
We appreciate your membership, your continued efforts to raise beef, and your efforts to care for the environment. We welcome any ideas that will help us better serve you!
We look forward to seeing you at the Summer Convention and ask that you register today!
Thank you in advance!!
